*Tensile strength of individual carbon fibers vs mild structural steel. CFRP system performance governed by composite action and engineering design values. Unidirectional fiber is not appropriate for repairs requiring high anisotropic strength — Bidirectional CFRP is better suited for those applications.

The Rhino Concrete Crack Repair Kit is designed for foundation repair and waterproofing professionals. The install is fast, clean, and requires no specialty equipment.
Select Your Weave
Choose the correct fiber orientation: bidirectional for cracks requiring strength in all directions, horizontal unidirectional for vertical cracks, or vertical unidirectional for horizontal cracks.
Prep the Surface
Prepare the surface to CSP3 (40-60 grit sandpaper). Remove any loose material, paint, or coatings from the area where the carbon fiber will be applied. Surface must be bare and clean for full adhesion.
Measure & Cut
Measure the crack length and cut the carbon fiber to the appropriate size. Widths are chosen based on the size of the crack and the area being strengthened — 12" width for standard repairs.
Apply Epoxy to Surface
Apply an even coat of epoxy to the concrete surface over the full area where the carbon fiber will be placed. Use the supplied epoxy gun and static mixing nozzle for consistent application.
Apply Carbon Fiber
Lay the carbon fiber strap over the epoxy-coated surface, ensuring it is straight, centered over the crack, and fully in contact with the epoxy. Work the fiber into the epoxy with a roller or gloved hands.
Saturate & Coat
Apply a second coat of epoxy over the top of the carbon fiber strap, fully saturating the fabric. Spread evenly with a putty knife or roller to ensure complete coverage and a smooth finish.
Layer if Required
For additional strength, carbon fiber can be layered. Apply additional epoxy between each layer and ensure full saturation before applying the next layer.
Finish
Allow epoxy to cure fully. The finished surface is smooth, flat, and ready to paint, coat, or cover with any finishing product. No additional maintenance required.
