The Problem

The American Restoration company in San Francisco was hired to repair a cracking concrete slab surrounding a swimming pool. The primary concerns were that the crack could reopen through the surface coating after repair and that it might continue to spread over time.

These issues posed both structural and aesthetic risks, especially given the need for a clean, finished pool deck surface.

⚠ A spreading concrete crack risked reopening and damaging the finished surface, requiring a durable and minimally visible repair.

The Solution

The company used carbon fiber crack lock stitches with high strength epoxy to reinforce the crack. A template guided placement, and stitches were installed every 8 to 12 inches along the crack and sealed with epoxy.

This method provided strong reinforcement with minimal surface disruption, preventing further cracking while allowing for a smooth, nearly invisible finish.
